Communication Specialist (Italy and EEMEA)


Job Summary

This position serves as a key contributor in the Communications Department in the areas of event management and event communication. The primary function is to manage Werfen participation to scientific congresses that contribute to generate awareness for the company and its products, to boost sales and to increase brand positioning.

This position is responsible for the correct brand exposure during the events according to Werfen Brand & Visual Identity Guidelines, managing contract terms, handling logistics, budgeting, negotiating with sub-contractors, selecting venues, developing events materials and editing communication to clients, preparing expenditure report.

The position is also responsible for the support to EEMEA Distributors in order to ensure the correctness of brand positioning and for the organization of EEMEA main events with partners and clients.

 Key Accountabilities

  • Supports the brand and institutional communication activities (internal and external) according to the Communication Manager needs
  • For Italy and EEMEA, manages company events and company participation in thirt-party congresses in compliance with ECM regulation and in accordance with the Transparency Law obligations
  • Negotiates with the event’s provider the contract terms (best positioning/brand exposure) within the allocated budget and manages the agreement administrative process
  • For Italy and EEMEA, manages external agencies/suppliers to develop event materials, gadgets and thradeshow booth layout/structure according to the Brand & Visual Identity Guidelines
  • For Italy and EEMEA, edits the events direct mailing content according to the company format and develops social media content (EEMEA)
  • Manages the Educational Grants providing the information to the external providers
  • Support the organization of company main direct events managing speakers and attendees engagement and hospitality according to the existing procedures
  •  Updates the company tools/platforms (Italy and EEMEA) relating to events - BrightCove, Transparency Tool, SharePoint Event Calendar, Good Morning EEMEA, etc
  • Administers the processing of invoices
  • Supports cross functional projects according to his/her own area of competence
  • Ensures compliance with Werfen Code of Ethics and CDM rules

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business communications or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in business communications.
