Research Technician position


IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Research Technician to join the Experimental Hematology Unit directed by Prof. Chiara Bonini at Division of Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious Diseases, San Raffaele Hospital, Milan – Italy. The main research focus of the Experimental Hematology lab is the development, preclinical and clinical validation of innovative strategies for improving T cell-based immunotherapeutic approaches for solid and hematological cancers.

Main activities:

  • Contribution to several research projects focused on developing cutting-edge strategies for cancer treatment by employing T cells engineered to express T cell receptors (TCRs);
  •  Molecular biology techniques: cloning, transformation, PCR, RT-PCR;
  • Cellular biology techniques: flow cytometry, cell culture, viral production;
  • Helping with maintaining inventory and preparation of and project-related reagents.

Who we are looking for:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical laboratory Techniques or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus;
  •  Key requirements are: strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to record and manage large data files;
  • Applicants should be responsible, organized, highly disciplined, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative research team.

Work details:

The position is immediately available, and the starting contract will be of one year, to be renewed. Salary will depend on qualification and experience.
