Animal Technician Position - IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital

IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for an animal technician to join the Experimental Hematology and  Innovative Immunotherapies Units in the division of Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious diseases.

Main activities:

Our groups focus on developing cutting-edge strategies for cancer treatment that exploit adoptive cell therapy with genetically engineered T-cells. These advanced cellular products are widely studied and characterized in vitro, but also need to be validated in standardized and advanced preclinical models to predict safety and efficacy of the therapy. We possess vast experience with immunodeficient and humanized animal models that integrate different cellular players to mimic tumor development and T-cell responses close to the human disease.

We are now looking for experienced personnel that may support both groups in all projects pertaining animal experimentation. Activities will comprise, among others, managing mice colonies and performing routine and advanced procedures on animals like blood sampling and surgical operations. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity actively collaborate in further development and exploitation of innovative animal models to answer to biological questions related to engineered T cell therapy.
