RESEARCH FELLOW POSITION AT STEM CELL AND NEUROGENESIS UNIT


IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Research Fellow to join the team led by Dr. Gaia Colasante at Stem Cell and Neurogenesis Unit in the Division of Neuroscience (more info here: https://research.hsr.it/en/divisions/neuroscience/stem-cells-and-neurogenesis.html).

Main activities:

Our Telethon-funded project aims to develop a novel gene therapy strategy for Dravet Syndrome, a severe epileptic encephalopathy. The candidate will leverage advanced gene editing techniques to assess the feasibility and efficacy of the approach in neuronal primary cells in in vitro settings and in vivo models of Dravet syndrome

Who we are looking for: 

The ideal candidate should possess a Master or PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields, with a robust foundation in molecular biology and cell manipulation. Experience in gene editing and mouse model manipulation is considered a valuable asset. Proficiency in English, exceptional organizational skills, and a collaborative team spirit are essential

Work details: 

  • Type of contract: collaboration with salary commensurate to experience and qualifications 
  • Duration: 1 year renewable
