Postdoctoral Position in Tumor Microenvironment 


A postdoctoral research position is available to join the Lymphoid Stromal Cell Biology Unit at the Division of Experimental Oncology.

About the project:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on a project funded by the Italian Association for Cancer Research and focused on understanding the evolution of the tumor microenvironment in lymphoid malignancies. The candidate will investigate the mechanisms underlying the reprogramming of fibroblastic reticular cells and their contribution to tumor progression. The successful candidate will have access to preclinical models, single cell RNA sequencing, spectral flow cytometry and humanized 3D culture systems to study tumor-stroma interactions and identify targetable pathways.

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Applicants with a Ph.D. in cancer biology and immunology or equivalent experience;
  • Experience in pre-clinical models of cancer, flow cytometry and confocal imaging;
  • Ability to teamwork; a solution-oriented attitude, and excellent organization skills;
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are expected.

  • Type of contract: based on experience;
  • Duration: renewable up to 3 years;
